am spending this last few hours of 2008 with family.
hahaha. say till so nice.
i'm gonna be 20 next yr man.
what have I done in 2008.
ok. this is such a difficult task for a person with bad memory to recall.

January to March
I forgot what happened. LOL

I was still schooling. Nth much happened but i survived thru the last study sem in TP.
the TORTURING LAST module.
Started work at Q&M Dental Surgery at March/April (i think so) with the help of khim.
August-Jam Hsiao's autograph session, End of sem exams

8th September - attachment
Started workng at ICES. The start of the 5mths journey to jurong island every morning.
It was really a shocking news to receive the email about my attachment. JURONG ISLAND instead the long thought Buona Vista.
Well, starting of the attachment. there was no doubt lots of grumbling
was slowly getting used to it. but there was still no ending of complains about being so tired in the morning. haha.

got my OMNIA. i love it man. muahaha.

27th November
My 19th Birthday! had a great celebration with the other TP ICES interns (:

and we had mac for lunch on last wed. (: agreed to have delivery once a wk. hahaha. try the food there and you ppl will know why we have to resort to delivery once per week.

alright, life @ work is fine. lesser reading. more busy. and it has been a mth! i'm actually quite sad time is passing fast. hahaha. as when i leave this place, i can nv enter again. week3 of SIP is over.

frm mon to thurs i have been printing and reading. my journals and literature is alr up to a height of ~3cm. and i still have lots to read!

on thurs, my supervisor gave me the company workbk to paste the past entries. and it's so confidential. have completed JUN entries. and i still have a sch workbk k. i am to print out a copy of what i wanna put in to the two workbk and let my sup filter and decide which to be paste on the two bks respectively.

went lab for the first time in my 3wks in ICES to learn how to use XRD. Junwei is a super lame guy and yet funny. I have to be prepared for more lame stuffs from him. but i'm glad the ppl in my lab are nice. (: my MP is going to start next wk. and my sup warned me that the real stuffs are coming in. haha.

after work events:
went pastamania with jasmine, michelle, jap and liang hui on mon. lots of gossiping and laughters.
hogs breath on next mon. haha.
meetup with caroline, gracecia, khim and faiz on fri. catching up session (: meet up again soon ppl. and i heard the F1 sound! so cool!

Day10 of SIP

basically, i've been slacking thru out the wk. other than reading the lab safety manual and doing some lit research, i've been doing nth. so i'm seriously having no idea how to write my reflection for the wk. the lab safety test was today and i guess it was ok. haha. the test ended @ ard 1035 or so. then we slacked thru out the whole day. LOL

and we were playing this most of the time. love it! haha.

if i successfully pass the test, think my lab work will start next wk. perhaps on mon.

and i emailed my supervisor today.

Day4 of SIP.

SOOO tired. juz 4 days only and it feels like 4 weeks. but surprisingly, i think i'm toooooooooo tired till i'm not really tt tired today. well, i mean not as tired as the previous days but i'm still tired. haha.

basically, i've been reading and reading. understanding and understanding. i'm trying my best to understand cuz my supervisor is so gd that i doesn't want to let him down. haha. he's super nice i tell u. he's so friendly, patient, kind, helpful, understanding and approachable. The communicating languages between us are eng, chinese and cantonese. haha..cuz he's a malaysian.
and u know what. we are going to have a lab safety test on next fri! it's on the 45pages of lab safety manual. we have 3 tries. If we didn't manage to pass, that ends our SIP. and we are the 1st batch in the company who need to take the test ok. and b4 the test, i won't be doing any lab work. so i will be doing lit review and reading still. shall start my synopsis and proposal asap.

alright, wanna boast abt my sup again. haha. here goes...the piece of info abt the test was sent to us and also our sup. then my sup still email me after reading the email telling me to rmb to study and to print out the manual from online. then any qns can go and ask him. so nice right. other's ppl sup doesn't does that one ok. i'm wondering what have i done to deserve such a nice sup.

i'm starting to get used to the ppl being attached to ICES tgt with me. (: as well as the company i think. and our student area (called the Learning zone) is quite comfortable too. but not the early working hrs yet.
oh and i'm always taking the same train as Jiahui (:

DAY1 of SIP.

reach JE @ 8am. bus and train are SOOO full. but now i will take the company bus frm outram (: which means, i can wake up later and less squeezing. haha. The company bus was late. cuz of some mistakes. so we waited. then the van is so small tt only 8 can go up. the rest had to take the bus.

reached JI and queued to make our pass. LONG QUEUE. waited for like 1hr plus and finally it's done. wait for van. some mistakes, yet again.-.- so all in all we spent ard 2hr plus waiting.

荒岛来的啦!!! so ulu. even if u wan escape frm the company also impossible loh.

got our company pass and locker key and it's lunch time. there's only one canteen in the whole building. and it's one small pathetic canteen with ONE stall. -.- we have to eat @ there for 5mths! can u imagine. then after the lunch, collected our lab coat and googles. and here comes the powerful one. we were given briefing on lab safety by a very monotonous safety officer. he gets softer and softer towards every end of his sentence. in addition to our slpyness due to the long waits in the morning, we were dozing off lah.

and off we go to meet our researcher cum supervisor. mine is called Ron. he's quite nice (@ least till so far). and due to my born-stress-looking face, he keep telling me to relax. hahaha. he said he won't at one go bombard me with stuffs but slowly introduce everything to me. and he said we are not boss and subordinate but WORKING PARTNERS. lol. can see he's really trying to make me relax.

and my MP title is:
Synthesis of Pharmaceutical Powders with Targeted Physicochemical Properties Using Supercritical Fluids.

as u can see, it's abt pharmaceutical. (:
he also gave me a stack of journals (which everyone will ask: "wa! who's notes? so many) to read. and b4 i finish reading and got some background info, i won't be doing any experiments. so tml other than going for the individual 15mins safety briefing in the lab, i will juz be reading the journals the whole day in the company. haha

one more day!!!

ok. i'm feeling so...i don't know what. scared? nervous? unhappy? whatever it is, i'm not feeling gd. ): ARGH!!!!!!!!!

ytd was the class bbq @ ecp. last class gathering b4 the sip start. everything was ok (to me @ least) but indeed the bond between the class had some sort diminished. i guess the sip did have great impact on many ppl. but since we can't change anything. then we shall learn to appreciate it. cheer up ppl. (: anyway, GRACECIA'S LITTLE BRO IS SO CUTE!!!!! he made me laugh like crazy. oh man i envy gracecia for having such a bro. haha. went home @ 11plus. took bus with aaron. he's being very nice to walk me to the lift. (:

i have been isolated from my close frens since young.
sec 1, i was put into 2nd class in sec2 when my lvl position allows me to be in the 1st class where all of my close frens are in.
then it happen in sec2 again. my close frens @ then was moved to other classes in sec3.
then in poly, you guys shld know...well. fate.

alright. look on the bright side, aili. tt's the only thing you can do now. (but allow me to complain for a few more days. haha)

ytd was the Beijing Olympic 2008 Opening Ceremony. It's so grand!!! the performance and effects were so nice and amazing. I LIKE~ haha...and i actually watch thru out the whole ceremony. i was waiting for team singapore and it's like ard last 15 out of the 204 countries. -.- the lighting of the touch was wonderful. juz that the person running in the air looked quite stupid. hahaha...however, everything looks great. it's so grand that it makes NDP appear to be so small. haha...but according to population size it's appropriate lah.

APEL reflection is so irritating. i have no idea how to go abt writing it. 500words. tt's so crazy. i don have to work tml (shall TRY to get myself to jog and study DDCT) and i've took leave frm 10th to 24th Aug to study for my tests and exams. they are more impt, aren't they? haha.

this sem is going to end real soon. and then off we go to our SIP. tt's like so fast. and even b4 we realise, it's going to be the graduation ceremony (well, tt's on the bright side for me). haha
